Friendship Club
If you’d like a cosy place to sit and chat, and maybe make new friends, why not come to the Friendship Group, held in the Welcome Centre at the back of Memorial Community Church, on Thursday afternoons from 2 - 4.
Refreshments are free, and you can find the Welcome Centre by going through the gate on the right of the building and following the signs.
In summer 2010 some of the older folk here on a Thursday shared their memories of Plaistow as part of the "Down Our Street" project organised by Newham Heritage Services. They did filmed interviews, with Heritage staff or students from NewVIC, that will contribute to a DVD about local people's lives.
